Starting school is an exciting milestone, whether it be as a New Entrant or joining us from another school. We want to make the transition as smooth and positive as possible for both you and your tamariki (child). Our goal is to help your tamariki settle in happily and confidently as they begin their school journey at Leeston School. To enrol at Leeston School you need to be living within our school zone. To check if you are eligible please refer to our Zone Map. If you are living outside of the school's zone, it is only possible to secure a place at Leeston School if there is a vacancy, please call the office to discuss this further. If your child is eligible, please complete an Out of Zone form. If you live within our school zone, we welcome your enrolment with the completion of either an Online Application or you can download the Printable Application. To support your enrolment application please provide the following documentation: New Zealand Birth Certificate (Preferred) or New Zealand Passport (if a NZ Citizen). Australian Passport (if you are an Australian citizen)A New Zealand Residency. Permit or New Zealand Student Visa/permit, and a Parental work permit if your child is not a New Zealand citizen. Leeston School has adopted the Cohort Entry Policy. Cohort Entry is only relevant for New Entrant children (first time at school).
